Detail

Presents 19 different onomatopoeias, offering the viewer a division of the senses and an awareness of communication. The video displays American Sign Language. The audio provides the noise the onomatopoeias would create. The audio informs the viewer what the girl in the video will be signing. For example the sound of chatter will resonate in the head phones then as the noise dissipates the girl in the video will sign the word chatter. Dimensions vary: the metal stands provide a post for the viewer to listen. They are constructed at a height that requires the viewer to stand up right mimicking the posture of the girl in the video. The head phones are construction muffs with earbud earphones inserted in order to eliminate any outside noise, providing the viewer with a tight sound listening experience.
