5 Piece Dinette Set w/ Chandelier (detail) - 2007

Dimensions: Table: 30" x 60", Chairs: 18" x 36: each, Chandelier: 24" x 24"

This project consists of 6 forms that resemble corresponding symbols or icons and share their characteristic size.

The forms are constructed out of surface materials - the table and chairs out of wood veneer and the chandelier out of an acrylic crystal-clear lighting panel (often found in offices covering overhead fluorescent lights).

The materials used reflect an aesthetic of superficial resolution and also in their own suburban way, they reference mass production and again, the ubiquity of current western culture.
